Blether Breakdown: Bonnie

Welcome back to my second Scottish blether breakdown. In this series I’m trying to bring you some wonderful Scottish words that you can hopefully use in your vocabulary in the future, and possibly let you know of some books that I think fit the sentiment.

Bonnie — ; pretty, beautiful

The word this time is “bonnie”, a lovely word meaning pretty or beautiful. I’m sure its not a secret top anyone. In terms of a bookish connection, I’ll be showing you below a selection of my favourite covers and books I think are bonnie.

That’s all for my list of beautiful book covers. Let me know if you enjoyed this format for discussing books, and if you want to learn what any Scottish phrases mean in the future! Let me know what books you think have bonnie covers.
